D-PREP international school is affiliated with The American School of Bangkok, which opened the first international kindergarten in Thailand as Didyasarin International Kindergarten in 1983 and changed to Didyasarin International School in 1995 as it expanded from a kindergarten to a full K-12 school.

The final change occurred when the school adopted a fully American curriculum under the name The American School of Bangkok in 1997. ASB now has two K-12 campuses in Sukhumvit and Green Valley, Bangna. ASB is proud to have graduated several hundred students who have since attended several top universities around the world, such as Yale University, New York University, UCLA, and Harvard University, to name a few.

D-PREP International school uses an international curriculum based on global standards, specifically The International Baccalaureate Program (IB) and Expeditionary Learning Approach (EL).  Our programs are all accredited by the Thai Ministry of Education, ISAT, 333 ONESOA, IB Primary Years Program, Ontario, etc.

D-PREP offers various learning support programs that help children study effectively with their classmates. This includes the ELL program (support program to promote English skills for children whose first language is not English) and Student Support Team (SST).

2. Experiential learning that emphasizes self-development

At the kindergarten level, D-PREP’s learning atmosphere emphasizes play-based learning (using play as a learning medium). We encourage students to practice observation, ask questions, have fun, and motivate them to come to school.

We apply the Experiential Learning curriculum for the elementary level so students have fun while learning and experimenting with things around them.  We aim to help students discover their passions through fun and memorable experiences.

At the middle school level, D-PREP offers Southeast Asia’s first Expeditionary Learning  (EL) Approach. The EL curriculum focuses on students’ learning through in-depth experience. In this learning approach, students study, research, experiment, and create their projects based on what they learned.

D-PREP’s curriculum focuses on the students’ learning and encourages them to practice self-improvement and other practical skills at their own pace.

3. Enhanced life skills

D-PREP focuses on preparing children holistically. Aside from academic learning, we also help them improve their life skills by preparing them physically and mentally. This way, children can understand themselves and others better and ultimately learn to reflect on their life. We believe the ability to make sense of one’s identity is necessary for children to learn as they grow older.

D-PREP International School is conveniently located behind MEGA Bangna. Parents, students, and teachers can access the school through various routes like the Bangna-ChonBuri Expressway / BuraphaWithi Expressway, and Bangna-Trad Road.

D-PREP’s accessible location allows parents to go on errands or shopping while waiting to pick up their children. MEGA Bangna also offers recreational areas where children can play, meet, or have a meal after school.

D-PREP Study Program

D-PREP International School currently accepts students from Nursery to High School.

1. Early Years Program: Nursery 1 (Pre-kindergarten) – Kindergarten 2

Ages: 2-6 years old

Ratio:

• Nursery 1 (Pre-kindergarten): maximum of 16 students/ 3 Adults (1 teacher, 1 assistant teacher, 1 mentor) per class
• Kindergarten: maximum of 18 students / 2 Adults (1 teacher, 1 assistant teacher) per 1 class

D-PREP’s early years program focuses on learning through play and promotes all-around skills that inspire interest, curiosity, and imagination. Our early years curriculum also promotes self-development, problem-solving, and social skills. Most importantly, we ensure a fun and safe learning environment so students are motivated to attend school every day.

To ensure students’ safety, our canteen provides a variety of fresh and clean snacks with complete nutritional value.

2. Primary School Program: Grade 1-5

Ages: 6-10 Years old

D-PREP’s primary school program offers a curriculum emphasizing experiential learning to enhance students’ problem-solving, analytical thinking, and public speaking skills. We also conduct fieldworks where students learn outside the classroom.

3. Middle School Program: Grade 6-8

Ages: 11-14 Years old

For the middle school program, D-PREP offers the first Expeditionary Learning (EL) system. This course emphasizes learning through real experiments on topics of their interest. In EL, students study, research, experiment, solve problems and create quality outputs with teachers and experts in their chosen field. Our goal is to provide guidance throughout their long-term projects, so students have a meaningful experience and apply their learning to real-life situations.
