Kindergarten 1 Field Trip to Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World

K1 Students found Nemo

On March 23rd, both K1A and K1B went on their field trip for third quarter to Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World in Siam Paragon. This quarter, students learned about animals classes such as reptiles, fish, birds, and mammals. Once they learned what characteristics and traits are associated with each trait, they learned about animals and organized what class they belong to.  To reinforce what we have learned for our PBL project on Animals, Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World was the best place to see and observe the traits that we learned when it came to aquatic animals.

Once we arrived, we were greeted warmly by our guide, LG. Once we completed our pep talk on the rules of the Aquarium, we were off on our journey! We were first greeted with the largest crabs we have ever seen, the King Crab! We saw so many creatures from undersea such as seahorses, octopuses, even fishes with no eyes! Our highlight of the trip definitely was when we found both Nemo and Dory at the aquarium. There were so many interactive exhibits that allowed us to crawl and pop our head into unique tanks to get a different viewpoint of the animals. Just when we were amazed at seeing all of the amazing fish, we were dazzled by the cute and cuddly penguins who were in the middle of enjoying a lovely lunch.  We were even allowed to touch a starfish and feel the unique outer layer. Just when we thought we were limited to just aquatic animals, the snakes gave us quite a shocking surprise!

Overall it was such a wonderful trip and we learned so much thanks to our wonderful tour guide! We can’t wait to apply what we learned to our PBL project for this quarter!
