Subject: School Closure Update
Date: May 10, 2020
We are very excited to hear that the COVID-19 confirmed cases in Thailand are really dropping
to a level that is getting safer every day. We can only hope that this trend continues and our
lives return to normalcy as soon as possible.
We have shared our Enhanced Virtual Learning survey results to our teachers and we are very
happy to hear that approximately 80% of our parents are seeing improvements in various areas
from lesson engagement, quality of online lessons by adding 1-1 sessions, and effectiveness of
small group instruction throughout all the grade levels (nursery – kindergarten – primary) .
More than 80% of our nursery parents feel that the lessons have been more creative and
engaging and that co-teaching among nursery teachers is effective. Given the improvements we
have made, we understand that some young children may still have difficulty staying engaged
online. The most important thing is that they are having fun and engaged as much as they can
be. At the nursery level, all classwork is not mandatory and our teachers will be reviewing all
material with the children when we come back to school. Most of our K2 parents enjoy the live
special classes we have added and so we will be providing some live special classes for the K1
level and live Thai class for nursery starting the next week. Our primary parents feel that the 1-1
sessions are effective. Please be informed that you can request for additional 1-1 sessions with
your child’s teacher. We continue to take all feedback into consideration and make adjustments
For Kindergarten 2 families, we have started the K2 graduation filming of our K2 families and
students. Our K2 teachers and our leadership team are also planning for an initial online
graduation celebration on the last day of online learning (June 9). However, we will still host an
in-school K2 graduation ceremony either during the summer review or in August. We will
update you again as soon as we are more certain which date would be the best choice.
Our team is now currently working on preparation for the reopening of school in July under
strict COVID-19 health and safety guidelines from the Thai Ministry of Education and the World
Health Organization. Children’s health and safety will always be our priority.
From here on until June 9, we have one holiday left which is June 3rd or her Majesty the
We sincerely thank you for your continued support. Please stay as safe and healthy as you can
during this time.
