On Friday, September 30, 2022 the Grade 2 students went to River City Bangkok as part of their Unit of Inquiry on How We Express Ourselves. During the trip the students saw artworks created by artists from around the world, and by local artists as well. There were examples of many types of visual arts including paintings, sculptures, and photography.
The Grade 2 students were asked to name the types of art they saw, explain how a piece of art of their choosing made them feel, and to give evidence about why they thought an artist was trying to convey a certain idea or emotion in their work. The students’ work was supported by their learning in our Unit of Inquiry lessons.
