It’s another school year with exciting things in store for students, both old and new. The new academic year doesn’t just welcome new students, but we also welcome the parents who play a huge role in their child’s education. Last August 1, D-PREP International School held a Parents’ Orientation to inform them of everything they need to know for the academic year 2022-2023.

The Parents’ Orientation was divided into two sections: The AY 2022-2023 Overview, where the School Leaders discussed everything the parents need to know about the school, and the Breakout Session, where they met with the homeroom teachers and enjoyed fun classroom activities with their kids. 

For the overview, D-PREP’s Leaders introduced the school’s teachers, including the new members of the school administration. They then talked about D-PREP’s “Co-Creator” values and the different events that the parents are invited to attend, such as: Chat with Leadership (every Wednesday, 8:15-9:00 am), Coffee Hour (once a month), Meeting my child’s teacher (August 10), and Family Outbound (November 19-20). The main communication platform, Toddle, was also discussed. 

After the overview, the parents met their children’s homeroom teachers and discussed their kids’ class schedules, curriculum, and necessary class devices/applications. They also joined the different fun activities prepared by the homeroom teachers. 

Overall, we had a fruitful and informative Parents’ Orientation. We’d like to sincerely thank the parents who made the time out of their busy schedules to learn how they can best support their children’s education. We look forward to the wonderful academic year 2022-2023 with all of you.
